Car Hits Local Bridge

Just after 5:00 PM today most fire and rescue units were sent out to a local bridge referred to by locals as the "viaduct". The report from Toole county dispatch was that a car had hit a bridge support along Front Street. When we at NBMC arrived, we could see little damage to the car and maybe none to the bridge. The driver lost control jumping a curb hitting the bridge and a disconnected power pole. Soon after, all emergency crews left the scene including the ambulance. The driver and her passenger left in the car of a family member with no apparent injuries.

Ring Side Ribs

For the first time in many years, Shelby will soon have a totally new restaurant. The building is under construction behind Town Pump just south of where the semi-trucks park. The outside of the building is complete and now contractors are finishing the inside and getting the south side ready for parking. The restaurant will be called Ring Side Ribs and is to be owned and operated by Barb and Gary Harmon of Shelby. It is to include a lounge area and casino.
