Possible Bomb

Possible bomb, those were the words of the local sheriff's dispatch as she called out emergency crews in Shelby this afternoon. Close to 3:30 PM two fire units and one ambulance responded to the call in the 500 block of Rosebud St. Half a dozen firefighters suited up as three others and Sheriff Matoon carefully went through a trash dumpster for a beeping device. The device, that was reported by someone taking out their trash, was luckily found to be a discarded smoke detector.

Sheriff's Show and Shine

For a brief period this morning it looked like the beginnings of a Show and Shine at the Toole County Public Safety building. Passers by wondered what was going on. It was later confirmed by NBMC in a phone call to Sheriff Matoon that she simply wanted to get some photos on record of the two Dodge Durangos acquired last year.
